What do you do at Rentmyhome?

Our job is to help landlords market their property online to as many tenants as possible. We help you with not only the marketing, but we also reference all prospective tenants, and can draw up a tenancy agreement between the landlord and the tenants.

How much does it cost?

Our basic package costs just £49, which includes marketing on all the major property portals, such as Rightmove and Zoopla.

How long will it take to set up my account?

It really does only take a few minutes to register with us. If you select our basic package, your listing can be live on our site within an hour. It usually takes a few hours to appear on the portals. If you choose photos and floor plans, it usually takes between 3-5 days before your listing goes live.

How many photos should I upload for my advert?

It goes without saying that providing more photos is going to help make the property more attractive. If uploading your own photos, ensure you use a high resolution camera. Poor quality photos can be a deterrent for tenants.

How do prospective tenants contact me?

Tenants contact you directly through the site. If they have a question, wish to arrange a viewing or indeed make an offer, this is all done on the site. You will be notified by email of any activity of this sort. You simply need to log into your account, and from there you can manage questions, viewings and offers.

How long will my property be listed for?

We’re happy to list any property for up to 12 months. This means you can withdraw your property and relist it at a later date if required within the 12 months.

How do you make sure the tenant has supplied you with the correct credit check information?

As part of the credit checking process, we collect detailed information about the tenant’s employment status and address history. This is then confirmed with the tenant’s referees. We even take steps to ensure the tenant has provided genuine referees. For instance, we only ever accept a written employer reference from a valid company email address.

Are you members of any professional bodies?

We are members of ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents) and RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors). We are also members of The Property Ombudsman redress scheme and follow their Code of Conduct.
